When creating Naya, one of the primary objectives was to create a choir that would inspire students to pursue their love of singing, (either professionally or recreationally) after leaving school. They might do this by joining an ensemble of some kind or simply enjoy it by attending concerts. The other objective was to offer a group that high school music students could transition to after they graduated. For those not going on to study music at a tertiary level especially, the options for high quality and challenging choirs are finite.
Naya accepted 40 members for its 2012 season - 75% of these were graduates of Perth music schools and 30% from the 2011 graduating class. We would very much like to continue to provide this opportunity, however music students need to be made aware of Naya’s existence in order for them to audition.
For this reason, we are offering all schools discounted group bookings for the matinee of Naya’s upcoming debut concert: 2:30pm, Saturday 28th July; John Curtin Theatre, Fremantle. Bookings of 10 or more are eligible for the discount. The discounted ticket price is $20 per ticket.
